An ILL professor named Dr. Rankin, professor of History at UT Dallas, wanted to know how to reach more students and involve more people in class discussions both in and out of the classroom. She had heard of Twitter…well just watch and see how Twitter helps her manage her classroom.

Microsoft’s Xbox 360 takes center stage, Opening the E3 2009 Show in L.A.Microsoft showed off it’s upcoming motion sensing system. Project Natal (that’s codename) will work with every 360 when it launches and will be available on all the new systems. This a direct attack on the Nintendo Wii. Natal has no official name, price or release date which is disappointing. In fact, it was called a concept for the future More info will be release shortly. This along with the info that Facebook and Twitter will be coming to the Xbox Live service was released at the annual press briefing at the E3 Expo.

Microsoft announced a host of forthcoming media upgrades for the Xbox 360 at its E3 press conference Monday. The chief highlights: an updated video store, now using the Zune branding, that will allow instant-on 1080p video purchases of movies and TV shows; improved Netflix integration; access to Last.fm’s streaming audio service; and expanded access to online video content in more countries around the world. OH YEAH! Good ol trusty Palm! This phone is for all the Sprint people that has suffered while AT&T and Verizon customers ran around showing off their fancy iPhone’s and touch Blackberry’s! Ha! I can’t wait, I just hope that Palm has an app store similar to the iPhone because with all the bugs the iPhone has the app store would be the only reason I would even think about getting one.

*The Internet has already nicknamed it “BarackBerry,” but, in fact, President Obama’s new smartphone is a $3,350 device that has all the bells and whistles of his beloved Blackberry, but none of the security risks.

The president has been fighting efforts by the National Security Agency to ditch his BlackBerry phone, saying they would have to “pry it out of my hands.” He protests that a mobile device would help him stay in touch with the real world.

Writing on his blog for the Atlantic magazine, Marc Ambinder reports that the NSA and the president have reached a compromise, a spy-proof BlackBerry alternative called Sectera Edge.

Made by General Dynamics, the cell phone is reportedly capable of encrypting top secret voice conversations and handling classified documents. However, Ambinder also reports that instant messaging in the White House will still be forbidden.

I hope those guys that broke down the i-phone don’t hear about this spy-proof uncrackable thing!

Who is head of the class when it comes to video game consoles? Sony? Microsoft? Nintendo?  In 2008 Nintendo was top dog. Nintendo flat out beat its other competitors with ease. According to the NPD Group, for the month of November the Nintendo Wii sold over 2 million whereas Xbox 360 sold 836,000. The Nintendo DS sold over 1.5 million and Sony’s PSP sold 421,000. These numbers are reflective of the whole year and Nintendo is sitting at the helm of the video game industry.
