Black Monday

According to news reports there was a NFL coach shake down, today three NFL coaches were fired.

Rod Marinelli

Coach Rod Marinelli of the Detroit Lions was fired today after a record breaking season of 0-16. Of course this comes of no shock to most after watching highlights after highlights of them not winning.

Romeo Crennel

Coach Romeo Crennel of the Cleveland Browns was let of as of today after flip-flopping from last seasons record of 10-6 to this seasons record of 4-16.

Eric Mangini

Eric Mangini of the New York Jets was also let go today after losing 4 of the last 5 games played that prevented them from reaching the playoffs.

Dishonorable Mention: Someone needed to run around and slap everybody(like the mother in “Man on Fire”)in the Dallas Cowboys locker room after getting raped by the Eagles in the last game of the regular season…C’mon Cowboys, halftime the score was 6 to 44.

Who is head of the class when it comes to video game consoles? Sony? Microsoft? Nintendo? In 2008 Nintendo was top dog. Nintendo flat out beat its other competitors with ease. According to the NPD Group, for the month of November the Nintendo Wii sold over 2 million whereas Xbox 360 sold 836,000. The Nintendo DS sold over 1.5 million and Sony’s PSP sold 421,000. These numbers are reflective of the whole year and Nintendo is sitting at the helm of the video game industry.
